    Wishin' I were Jammin'

I sure wish I had more time to practice my guitar.  School's gonna be busy this semester and I've gotta work.  I have NO money.  Literally, I don't know how I'm gonna pay the bills.  I started at the Fayetteville Public Library Friday.  It's pretty neat, I'm a pager which means all I do is shelve books.  Doesn't pay much and I don't get many hours, but it's something for now.  Gonna have to sell some cds.  Anyone want one?  Email me at trawickjtt@gmail.com lol!  They're good.  Zack Stanton's on them!  haha!  I'm working on a couple tunes for a flatpicking contest in Grove, OK at the beginning of June.  It's a ways off, but I've got a ways to go!  Especially if I want to be competitive.  I would like to find out more about some other flatpicking contests.  They will challenge me and make me a better player which is my always goal.  That's right, my always goal.  That's my term.  I made it up.  If you use it without quoting me, you're plagiarising (sp?).  Shame on you!  Lemme know if you know of any.

    New Update Woohoo!!!

I got to jam with Frankie Kelley a couple of weekends ago.  That was a treat.  For those of you who don't know, Frankie is in the Western Swing Hall of Fame.  I sure enjoyed hearing him.  He's very aged now and much like Cotton Nixon, just doesn't get the sound he used to and his fingers don't help him out much, but I could tell he used to be INCREDIBLE!  He played some beautiful tunes he'd written and at least one tune I knew.  He played "I Don't Love Nobody" in G.  First time I'd every heard it in G.  Normally, this tune is played in A I think.  At least all the fiddler's I've heard play it played it in A.  There's also the C or B flat version I forget which.  That's a neat version, too.  Anywho, who've y'all been jammin' with?
